Privacy Policy

Anchor is a values-based planning and reflection app made by Immersion Family Offices. Your reflections and journals are personal, and we treat them that way. This policy describes exactly what the app collects, why, and what never leaves your device.
What we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or a magic-link email, we receive your email address (and your name, if you choose to share it through Apple). We use it to create and secure your account.
Your content. The values, mission, activities, goals, notes, reflections, journal entries, mood selections, and weekly reviews you write are stored in our database so they sync to your account. They are protected by per-user access rules: your data is readable and writable only by you.
Photos stay on your device. When you attach a photo to a journal entry, the image itself is never uploaded. Anchor stores only a reference to the photo in your own iOS photo library, and the picture stays there.
Usage analytics. We record a small set of feature-usage events (for example, that a review sheet was opened, or how many items were archived) to understand what is useful. These events carry counts and labels only — never the text of your notes, reflections, or journals.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, a diagnostic report is sent so we can fix it. Crash reports are configured to exclude personal content.
What we don't do
No ads. No selling or sharing of your data. No tracking you across other apps or websites. Anchor has no advertising SDKs and does not use your data for any purpose beyond running and improving the app.
Where your data lives
Your account and content are hosted with Supabase (database and authentication). Crash diagnostics are processed by Sentry, and usage events by PostHog. Each provider processes data on our behalf to run the service; all traffic is encrypted in transit.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and removes your account and all of your content from our database. If you prefer, email us at jake@immersionfamilyoffices.com and we will delete it for you.
Children
Anchor is not directed to children under 13.
